The handmade ceramic bowl is lead free and hence useable for storing food ware. The bowl measures 30 cm in diameter, is 11 cm in height and weighs approximately 1800 gr. The bottom is signed and numbered by the ceramic artisan.

The Hecabe bowl is handmade in Iznik, an area of Turkey renowned for their quality and traditional techniques, in ceramic art and design, and in the Ottoman era, suppliers of ceramics to the Sultans royal court. The colorful and enchanting bowl, with both interior and exterior decorations, draws inspiration from the ancient stories and illustrations of “the Tree of Life”. This motif is also a traditional and recurrent theme in Turkish arts, crafts and designs.
