Khipa ceramic bowl, leadfree quality – perfect for kitchen use
The handmade unique ceramic bowl is lead free and hence useable for storing food ware. The bowl measures 25 cm in diameter, is 9 cm in height and weighs approximately 1250 gr. The bottom is signed and numbered by the ceramic artisan.
The Khipa bowl is handmade in the Iznik area of Turkey, renowned and famous for their century old traditions and techniques in ceramic art and craftsmanship, and during the Ottoman era, suppliers of ceramics to the Sultans royal court. This wonderful bowl is simplistic, organic and classy, in both design and expression. The elaborated and beautiful floral motifs are made with a careful eye for details, aesthetics and creativity, and the beautiful colors, in different shades of blue, white and turquoise, clearly shows the historic reference.
