Handmade & colorful ceramic bowl – with amazing floral motifs
The design of this beautiful & colorful ceramic bowl is deeply seeded in Turkish ceramic art and traditions, with a careful sense of aesthetic details and quality. The handmade Theodora bowl comes in charming bright colors, embellished with adorable floral motifs, including the Turkish national flower – the tulip. The bowl is handmade by one of our skilled artisans, from the Iznik area of Turkey – famous for their century-old designs and techniques, in ceramic arts and crafts. The ceramic bowl will be ideal for serving fruit, salad and snacks, or as a creative addition to your home decoration.
To minimize the carbon footprint the ceramics are made to order, thus we have only few items in stock. Please note: As the bowl is handmade, variations in color, texture and other minor imperfections, are to be expected, and assure each item of its individuality and uniqueness.
Theodora ceramic bowl, perfect for both decor and kitchen use
The colorful ceramic bowl is lead free and hence useable for storing food ware. The bowl measures 30 cm in diameter, is 11 cm in height and weighs approximately 1800 gr. The bottom is signed and numbered by the ceramic artisan.
Ottoman era
This handmade bowl is made with a clear inspiration from the Ottoman era, where design and production of colorful and intricate ceramic art, was at the highest. Tiles, mosaics, decors and handicrafts – in sophisticated patterns and motifs – illustrating symbols, flora and fauna of the vast Empire. If you visit Turkey today, you will still see their great love for magnificently ornamented and multicolored ceramics, used as decorations in buildings, palaces, mosques and as home décor.
Especially flower motifs have been a treasured theme in several of these amazing artworks, but also symbols and poetic references has been used for inspiration in designs, shapes and decorations.

The Theodora bowl is a unique piece of pottery and should be preserved with attention and care. The bowl should be washed by hand.
