This very elegant bottle has an inspiring, creative, and innovative design. The traditional floral motifs of red and blue tulips and carnations combined, in a modern shaped bottle, articulates the current trend of mixing styles and cultures, blending authenticity, originality, and novelty.
The tulip and the carnation have both played major roles in the Turkish history of arts and crafts. Hence, the tulip was a frequent utilized motif in art, mosaics, tiles and even on textile, especially during the reign of the Ottoman Empire.
The preference for the tulip was at its highest, in the 17th century, where the Sultans established tulip gardens near the palace and presented handpicked tulip bulbs as valuable gifts, to foreign dignitaries which, in time, contributed to the so-called “Tulip war” in Europe. The carnation flower also originates from the Middle East and was too highly treasured as a motif, in both textiles, arts, and craft, during the time of the Ottomans. Today the tulip is the Turkish national flower.
